West Palm Beach, FL October 4, 2023.  Solitron Devices is pleased to announce it has acquired Micro Engineering Inc. located in Apopka, FL. Specializing in highly integrated, high reliability assemblies, Micro Engineering has over forty years of experience servicing medical, industrial, and aerospace applications.

Focused on low to mid volume production, Micro Engineering offers services from conceptual design and prototyping to full turnkey manufacturing and functionally tested assemblies. Additional services include hand assembly, wire harnessing, specialized coatings and full box builds.

Combined manufacturing capabilities now include 3D CAD modelling, 3D Printing, CAE machining, aluminum & gold wire bonding, void free soldering, fine pitch SMT for BGA’s, rigid, flex and double-sided circuit card assemblies; right up through full box builds. Product qualification infrastructure includes thermal shock, vibration, mechanical shock, centrifuge, salt spray atmosphere, burn-in and more.  Micro engineering is ISO-9001 registered.

Solitron Devices Announces Opening of New Facility

West Palm Beach, FL – September 1, 2022. Solitron Devices is pleased to announce the opening of its new headquarters and manufacturing facility at 901 Sansburys Way in West Palm Beach Florida. Solitron is a supplier of power electronics circuitry to Tier 1 defense contractors including Raytheon, Lockheed, Northrop, Boeing, L3Harris and GE Aviation.
 
Mark Matson, President & COO, said, “With over 50 years in power semiconductors, we are laying the foundation for the next chapter of Solitron Devices. After considering several sites in the West Palm Beach Florida area, our newly acquired facility meets all of our corporate objectives with respect to modernizing and expanding manufacturing, R&D, and Engineering. All in preparation of accelerating our market penetration into emerging integrated power technologies, particularly Silicon Carbide (SiC) and Gallium Nitride (GaN).”

Solitron’s new 26,000 square foot facility has been outfitted with state-of-the-art manufacturing and test equipment including void-free vacuum chamber soldering, high voltage automated electrical testing and the latest analytical tools including digital X-ray. Advanced atmospheric controls supplemented with new on-site equipment to generate nitrogen and liquid nitrogen are examples of infrastructure improvements. These match the last few years of record level capital investments for test and production equipment that exceeded spending over the prior three decades to provide superior customer service and technical support.

Manufacturing capabilities at the new site include 3D Printing, wire bonding, eutectic attach, void-free vacuum chamber soldering and silver sintering, laser trim, and hermetic packaging. Environmental screening includes thermal shock, constant acceleration, particle impact noise detection testing, burn-in, power cycling, thermal impedance and electrical testing.

Solitron’s best-in-class facility is designed to meet the evolving standards of the aerospace and defense electronics industry. The significant capital investment in factory automation will also broaden Solitron’s presence in high end industrial applications. The new facility combined with capital investment will accelerate development efforts and new product introductions in SiC, GaN, high voltage, integrated power modules, and high temperature (220°C and above) assemblies.

Solitron Devices, Inc. Announces Regular Annual Cash Dividend Policy, Reiterates Commitment to Hold Annual Stockholder Meetings and Includes Copy of Letter Addressed To Stockholders of Record

July 27, 2015 – WEST PALM BEACH, FL

Solitron Devices, Inc. (OTCQB: SODI) (the “Company”) today announced that its Board of Directors has adopted a regular annual cash dividend policy. The Company expects to declare regular annual cash dividends after the end of each fiscal year. The Company has paid a cash dividend after the end of the 2014 fiscal year and the 2015 fiscal year. The declaration of each future annual cash dividend will be subject to approval by the Company’s Board of Directors and to meeting the requirements of all applicable laws. The Company also reiterates its commitment to hold annual stockholder meetings.
